Suppressor PROCESS
1. Buy a suppressor!
You will not be able to take possession of it yet, but you need to buy it to start the process.
We like to say the suppressor is in jail until your paperwork is approved.
2. Create a Silencer Shop Profile.
Make sure to come back to Boerner’s for the Silencer Shop Kiosk for your fingerprints & basic information verification.
3. Buy the tax stamp!
The Tax stamp is $205 from Silencer Shop. Note you need to buy it to start the process and the price is set by the federal government, meaning you will not find deals on this.
4. Sign the Electronic Document
Silencer Shop will email a document with all your relevant information to you. Please review all the information for accuracy and digitally sign the file from your computer or mobile device.
5. Create an ATF eForms account.
Ensure that all your information matches exactly your silencer shop profile. Your email, full name, and address MUST match your Silencer Shop profile information exactly.
6. Buy and pick between what kind of trust you want.

7. Ready to certify and Submission to the ATF.
You’ll receive an email from Silencer Shop with the subject line “Ready to Certify”. You need your Username and Pin for us to be able to certify you (example below).

8. Wait to be approved!
“The wait varies from 90 days to 9 months” - Silencer Shop.
More or less. Could be less time or more time. Boerner Firearms can not be held accountable for the wait time exceeding Silencer Shops average waiting period.
